1) When should i use a common carrier?
When your item weight more than 150 lbs or the dimensional weight exceeds[ ]
L x W x H The package's density. For example a box filled with feathers.
The calculator for dimensional weight consider the amount of space your item (package) will take up in relation to the actual weight of the package. When calculating the cost of the dimensional weight is more than the actual weight, the cost is based on the dimensional weight. Here is how to calculate dimensional weight with a package 10 wide, 12 high, 20 long.
[i] Multiply the length x width x height 10x12x20=2400
[ii] Divide the result by166; 2400/166=14.45
[iii] The result is the dimensional weight in pounds. |

2.) Can I estimate the weight of my shipment?
- If an inaccurate weight is given, those costs may be passed on to you. Re weighing may also delay delivery. |

3.) What should I do with the Bill of Lading?
- All parties involved should have a copy of the Bill of Lading

4.) What is the Advantage of using your company over other that offer similar services?

5.) What is a customs invoice?
Commercial invoice is a document that shows the quantity, description and value of the items inside your packages. Each shipment must have 3 copies of the commercial invoice. |

6.) Who pays for custom duties and taxes?
Either you or the receiver can pay for the duties and taxes.
If you do not pay the duties and taxes for your shipment, our shipping partners, Fedex, DHL and UPS pays for the duties and taxes on behalf of the person receiving the package. When they deliver the package, they will collect fees from the receiver. If the Value of the package is high and requires a substantial amount of duties and taxes, our partners may contact the receiver to secure a payment. Please make sure that when sending a package, the receiver is aware of the payment of the duties and taxes and they are willing to pay it. If they need to know how much the duties will be, they can contact that custom office in that country and find out how much it would be. |

7.) What if my package gets damaged during shipping?
It is very important to use shipping corrugated boxes and not moving boxes. We carry a large selection of supplies to meet your needs. Most shipments carry a standard $100.00 worth of insurance, make sure to ask for additional insurance. If your package gets damaged during shipping, you can file a claim by calling or emailing our customer service department at 519-999-SHIP. |

8.) What is custom clearance?
Each package leaving Canada / United States needs to pass the customs at the destination country. This is where they are checked by the government officials to ensure the package so not contain illegal substances and also assessed duties and taxes according to the value of the contents of the package. |

9.) How much can i ship at one time?
There is no limit to the size of your shipment. There is no weight limitations for a box as long as the weight capacity of the box is not exceeded. |

11.) How should I package my shipments?
Please package, crate or stack on pallets securely to prevent damage. Secure cartons to the pallet with banding, shrink wrap, stretch-wrap or
breakaway adhesive. Improper packaging may void the carriers liability to damage. Stack boxes squarely on the skid with no overhang. Be sure the top surface is flat. Make sure to place labels on every box and package.
Packaging List
The packaging list is the detailed list of contents of the shipment, including quantities, items, model numbers, dimensions and net and gross weights. A packaging list should specify per carton or crate the number and types of units of material inside. The shipper gets the packing list ready at the time the goods are being prepared for shipping. There is no standard format for packing list.
Commercial Invoice:
A commercial invoice is the basic document from which the buyer or importer pays the vendor or exporter.
On import shipments, the commercial invoice generally serves a dual purpose to enable the exporter to collect his/her money and to assist the importer the clearing the goods through customs. The following information must be indicated on the commercial invoice:
- exporter name and address
- consignee name and address
- description of the goods
- net and gross weights
- unit price
- extended price
- currency of settlement
- terms of delivery and terms of payment
- date
- reference numbers
- import license
- freight included or excluded
